Flexografix was referred to a progressively-managed printer by one of their press operators. After building a business on producing technically complex structures and defect-free products, the printer had a significant new business opportunity printing process work for a color-critical brand owner. The printer was convinced by our competitor that years of inaccurate print-to-proof matching resulted from their lack of experience in printing halftone work.
Flexografix was given the opportunity to fingerprint and profile one of their presses. Then, we re-engineered the separations to remove one of the colors - increasing the project’s profitability. The very first set of plates resulted in an accurate match to the proof - without any process changes.
